About the Role
Join us as an EIC Discipline Lead to build, lead, and manage a high‑performing Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (EIC) engineering team within a Global Capability Center (GCC) . You will be responsible for delivering all EIC engineering deliverables across Pre‑Basic, Basic, and Detail Engineering phases.
This role requires deep domain expertise in electrical power systems , high voltage & low voltage distribution , instrumentation engineering , process control , functional safety , automation systems , and 3D modelling workflows .
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and global stakeholders to ensure high‑quality design, compliance with international codes, and seamless execution of engineering work packages.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of EIC Engineers within the GCC.
- Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and capability development.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, engineering excellence , and continuous improvement.
EIC Engineering Execution
Oversee and guide the delivery of key EIC tasks, including:
- Design and integration of HV/LV electrical systems , instrumentation systems , DCS/PLC control systems, and shop floor automation .
- Review and approval of engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications, datasheets, cable schedules, load lists, and calculations .
- Lead 3D electrical modelling , including cable tray routing, automatic cable routing, cabinet placement, and instrument location modeling.
- Ensure EIC engineering is aligned with process, mechanical, piping, HVAC, CSA, and layout disciplines.
Project Interface & Communication
- Act as the primary contact for all EIC engineering topics for internal and global stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multi‑discipline leads to ensure interface alignment and coordinated project delivery.
- Support procurement, vendor evaluations, technical bid analysis, and FAT/SAT activities for EIC equipment & instruments.
Quality, Standards & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with global and international codes/standards (IEC, EN, NEC, GB, etc.).
- Ensure quality control, verification, and document management of all EIC deliverables.
- Provide technical support during construction, installation, commissioning , and troubleshooting phases.
- Drive standardization, harmonization, and optimization of EIC engineering processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Instrumentation Engineering , Control Engineering , or related field.
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in EIC engineering within chemical, petrochemical, process, or industrial plant environments.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or discipline lead role.
- Experience delivering complex, global, multi‑discipline engineering projects.
- Strong exposure to multicultural or global engineering environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in HV/LV power systems , instrumentation , process control , functional safety , and industrial automation systems.
- Proficiency with engineering tools (COMOS , 3D modelling tools, design standards).
- Strong understanding of interdisciplinary interfaces across Process, Mechanical, Piping, Layout, CSA, and HVAC.
- Experience managing EIC engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, and vendor interactions.
Leadership & Communication
- Excellent team leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
- Strong stakeholder management across global teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Other Skills
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
- Demonstrated experience in knowledge transfer and change management.
- Experience in a GCC/onshore‑offshore engineering delivery model is an advantage.
