Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 5!

When open in early 5, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include beds (with the ability to expand to beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a -car garage and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking an experienced (PRN)

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for conducting and accurately documenting Electrocardiograms, commonly known as EKGs. This procedure involves placing electrodes on the patient's body to measure the heart's electrical activity. The EKG technician must ensure that all readings are clearly recorded for the care team review. The EKG technician will also provide patient care in line with a specific plan of care that has been established by healthcare professionals. The incumbent should closely follow this plan to ensure that each patient receives the appropriate level of care and attention.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant Course, two years of nursing school, or other recent comparable education and job experience
  • Completion of successful training programs (Dysrhythmia course) or successful completion of the Lethal Dysrhythmia Exam
  • At least six months of recent Hospital, long-term care, or medical work experience, which provided knowledge of basic patient-care activities related to multi-skilled technician duties
