Job Description
We are a family based in Potomac, Maryland, seeking a compassionate care provider to supplement family caregivers on some afternoons, evenings and weekends with in-home companionship for our mother. We are seeking a part-time resource to allow family caretakers some time outside of home on regular schedule, and introduce fresh conversation into our mother's routine.
The role primarily involves offering companionship, chaperoning local errands, and offering support with minor daily living activities such as collecting mail, filling birdfeeders, and warming /serving meals provided. We value a calm, attentive individual who can offer a warm and supportive presence in our home.
Our ideal candidate should have experience in communicating with those suffering short term memory impairment, and be in posession of a reliable vehicle to get to and from our location as well as chaperone local trips to shopping, salon, or church.
