Electrical CAD Technician
Location: Bloomington, MN.

Our client is seeking a motivated Electrical CAD Technician to support their engineering and design teams in producing detailed electrical drawing packages for infrastructure projects. This role is key in transforming engineering concepts into high-quality, constructible drawings by working closely with designers, engineers, and project managers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to develop technical skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Create and revise D electrical drawings, including one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, conduit and cable routing plans, grounding plans, panel layouts, and termination diagrams. Prepare instrument location plans, I/O layouts, and loop diagrams for instrumentation projects. Develop construction drawing packages under the direction of engineers and designers in accordance with client and company standards. Incorporate redlines, complete as-built updates, and maintain document control. Participate in internal quality checks and drawing reviews. Assist in preparing plot plans, equipment layouts, and D markups when needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to coordinate drawing deliverables. Contribute to CAD process improvements and drafting efficiencies. Perform miscellaneous project support tasks as assigned while adhering to company policies and safety standards. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; coursework in drafting or CAD-related technology preferred. Minimum of year of relevant CAD experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD required - Microstation D, D, and Inventor a PLUS Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to interpret engineering sketches, redlines, and markups. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Effective written and verbal communication skills. Problem-solving mindset with initiative and a desire to grow
