Electrical Construction Management

  • Oversee execution of HV/LV electrical works , including module stringing, inverter installation, transformer and HT yard works, cable laying, termination, earthing, and SCADA-related installations.

  • Ensure electrical construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, IEC/IS standards, and project requirements .

  • Develop construction methodologies, work sequencing, and execution strategies for electrical scope.

  • Planning, Scheduling & Control

  • Review and finalize electrical construction schedules, micro-plans, and manpower deployment plans in coordination with planning teams.

  • Monitor progress against baseline schedules and take corrective actions to mitigate delays.

  • Support project cost control through optimized resource utilization and effective work-front planning.

  • Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary interface with clients, consultants, OEMs, EPC partners, and subcontractors for all electrical construction activities.

  • Coordinate closely with civil, mechanical, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure smooth integration of works.

  • Lead electrical construction review meetings and resolve inter-disciplinary issues.

  • Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight

  • Implement and enforce quality management systems for electrical construction works.

  • Review and approve method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and technical submittals .

  • Ensure timely closure of NCRs and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Provide technical guidance for complex electrical construction challenges and value engineering initiatives.

  • Health, Safety & Environmental Management

  • Promote and enforce a strong electrical safety culture across all sites.

  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, statutory regulations, and electrical safety standards.

  • Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

  • Material, Equipment & Contractor Management

  • Plan and coordinate procurement and mobilization of electrical materials, equipment, and tools.

  • Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of electrical materials to minimize losses and rework.

  • Risk Management & Issue Resolution

  • Identify electrical construction risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Lead resolution of major site issues such as design conflicts, interface challenges, resource constraints, and execution bottlenecks.

  • Support change management, claims, and commercial discussions related to electrical construction scope.

  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Review and approve daily, weekly, and monthly electrical construction progress reports .

  • Provide accurate status updates to project management and senior leadership.

  • Track key milestones and ensure readiness for testing, commissioning, and energization.

  • Regulatory & External Coordination

  • Coordinate with statutory authorities, utilities, and third-party inspectors for electrical approvals, inspections, and energization clearances.

  • Ensure compliance with local electrical regulations, grid codes, and project-specific requirements.

  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • 12–25 years of experience in electrical construction, with significant exposure to utility-scale solar / renewable energy EPC projects .

  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams, multiple contractors, and high-value projects.
