Job Description

The Electrical & control engineer is responsible for the project design, planning and execution relevant to the power, electricals (medium & low voltage), networks architectures, controls & automation scope of the projects. The engineer is also involved in the delivery of digital tools/assets in new installations or modifications to the current operations. Through his qualifications, the role ensures compliance with site controls strategy, internal and external electrical standards, and mandates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Relevant 5+ years of experience in a closely related industry.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and on high‑performing teams.
  • Strong communication, listening, and influencing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the project-engineering team in the preparation, installation and commissioning of new machinery/equipment/systems and parts related to the PC&IS area standards, accountable for full sub-projects and coordination with site team members and stakeholders.
  • Conceptualizes, designs, and delivers full automation/digitalization solutions (process, packaging & utilities) aligned with MARS global standards.
  • During project execution, coordinates contractors, prepares and monitors operational plans, and manages cost.
  • Provides technical support and coordinates training activities with contractors/suppliers during start‑up.
  • Serves as subject‑matter expert on electrical & controls, supporting site engineering on related issues.
  • Communicates effectively with other teams including operational, R&D, quality, engineering (cluster, regional, global) and maintenance areas.
  • Ensures compliance with Mars standards and all relevant regulations, including occupational safety, hygiene and fire protection directives.
  • Guarantees that delivered solutions align with the site digitalization roadmap, enabling future integration into the factory digitalization journey.
  • Understands complex automation & electrical engineering designs and project proposals, challenging suppliers or contractors where opportunities or mistakes are found.
