Job Description
**Description:** Under direction perform a variety of various machines operations and equipment utilized to braid and/or cover a wide variety of electrical and Avionics Systems harnesses, assemblies, cables, wires, etc.
Typical Responsibilities
Under general direction, perform operations necessary to prepare harnesses, assemblies, cables and wires, etc. for covering operations.
Operate machines and equipment to provide protective coverings to meet customer specifications.
Examine each assembly to determine appropriate drop off points; identify and mark points prior to removal from assembly board.
Remove and transport assemblies to testing and preparation areas, perform preparation operation to ensure quality standards are maintained.
In braiding assemblies determine the number of picks per inch, establish gear ratio, and adjust machine tension to avoid breaks in materials used and provide quality covering.
