About the Role

We are looking for a Primary Engineer – HV GIS with strong hands-on experience in high-voltage Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) engineering. This role focuses on primary design, technical documentation, and engineering support for substation and GIS projects.

The position is suited for an engineer who can independently handle design responsibilities, support project execution, and collaborate closely with internal teams and customers, while also guiding junior engineers on technical matters when required.

What You Will Drive

Primary Design & Engineering

• Primary design and engineering activities for HV GIS switchgear projects.
• Interpret and analyze customer specifications to ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
• Prepare, review, and approve electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Address and resolve technical queries related to GIS products.
• Ensure strict adherence to IEC standards, industry best practices, and internal engineering guidelines.

Project Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams to support project execution.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and engineering clarifications.
• Support standardization, design optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Support & Knowledge Sharing

• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers when required.
• Support documentation accuracy, quality checks, and engineering best practices.
• Actively participate in technical learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

What Will Help You Succeed

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience in HV GIS primary design and engineering
• In-depth knowledge of IEC standards and customer specifications
• Ability to handle complex technical queries and design challenges
• Experience in mentoring or guiding junior engineers
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

What We’re Looking For

• 3–8 years of experience in HV switchgear / EPC/ MV / Substation engineering
• Strong exposure to GIS products and primary design
• Proven experience in handling technical documentation and design reviews
• Ability to work independently while guiding a small engineering team
• Background in substation, switchgear, EPC, or power sector preferred
