Electrical Design Engineer I

The Design Engineer will design custom solutions to match customer specifications from selection, design, integration and commissioning of control components on medium voltage switchgears.

• Review and understand the design requirements for any custom medium-sized switchgear and automation packages.
• Participate in design review meetings as needed.
• Detail and draw new parts as required.
• Prepare electrical drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and bill of materials.
• Select and integrate the following control components:
• Current and voltage transformers
• Protection relays and programmable controllers
• Power supplies
• Motor controls
• Communication devices (radios, antennas, modems)
