Electrical Design Engineer (Manager (Deputy Manager / Manager / Senior Manager)

Job Responsibilities (please provide specifics)

Description
1. Perform detailed design engineering activities as per instructions from Project Lead Engineer and HOD
within stipulated timelines
2. Co-ordinate with other Engineers/ Draftsman in electrical engineering team for collaborative work.
3. Participate in Department Training plans and successfully complete the Training Evaluation Tests
4. Learn the Software Tools, work processes, Quality procedures required to perform the engineering
tasks.
5. To ensure design as per technical specifications and customer requirement.
Performance Indicatiors
1. Timely completion of Activities as per schedule.
2. Quality of Engineering activities assessed by Technical Audits- Engineering NCRs

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

Substation & Distribution - Electrical
1. Detailed engineering design of Primary System Engineering, Single Line Diagram, Protection SLD,
general arrangement layouts, earth mat layout, cable trench, building arrangement, lightning
protection, cable schedule.
2. Design Calculations like: SCF, Sag Tension, earthing design, transformer sizing calculations, battery &
charger sizing, MV & LV cable sizing, CT-VT Sizing, EDG sizing etc.
3. Review of vendor equipments documents
4. Estimation of quantities during tender stage as well as detailed engineering stage
5. Preparation of input sheet for projects, monitors the project progress w.r.t. schedule
6. Provide the detailed design meeting the technical requirements of specifications, standards and
within the budget during the tender stage.
7. Monitors quantity variations during execution stage w.r.t. tender stage estimated quantities
8. Interaction with Client for Design Approvals during Bidding & Execution
9. Inter Discipline Interaction / Cooperation

Qualifications Required BE – Electrical

Experience Required Previous experience in Electrical Design Engineering- T&D - Susbstation (both AIS & GIS) industry
experience is mandatory
