Job Description
The scope of an Electrical Design Engineer with an electrical/PLC background focuses on designing and supporting power and electrical infrastructure for industrial, data center, or large commercial environments. The role involves electrical design using PLC-based systems for control and monitoring, with hands-on exposure to cable routing, including planning, sizing, segregation, and layout of power and control cables.
It also includes the design and specification of power distribution units (PDUs), including AC PDUs, covering load calculations, redundancy, and safe power distribution from source to equipment or rack level. The engineer will prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and layout drawings, ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and safety regulations, and coordinate closely with mechanical, controls, and site teams.
