Electrical Designer This is a Direct Hire, full time opportunity. A Hybrid Schedule will be offered after initial onboarding/training period; 1-2 days in the office per week.
Salary Range: $65 – 95K, depending on experience Summary:The Electrical Designer will work on challenging building electrical systems for healthcare, senior living and multi-family residential projects.
Job Duties: Interior and exterior lighting layout drawings, fixture specification and control systems for code compliance and energy savings. Exterior photometric analysis for community approvals. Normal and emergency power distribution drawings, panel schedules and riser diagrams. Low voltage system integration and coordination. These include fire alarm, access control, communications, IT/ data, security, nurse/ help call, audio-visual. System analysis for fault current and selective coordination. Following completion of design documents, input may be required during the municipal or health department plan review and permitting process. During construction you will be involved with contractors and field staff to answer questions, review product submittals and make on-site observations of the work. Requirements: Electrical design experience for low voltage building systems A working understanding of the National Electric Code and model energy codes is required Candidates are responsible for creating CAD drawings of their work Prior experience using Revit Qualifications include strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
