Electrical Designer – Entry Level (Hybrid)

The role – what you’ll do

Barr is seeking an electrical technician/designer to join either our Minneapolis, Duluth or Hibbing, Minnesota team. In this hybrid role, you will support our engineering group on the detailed electrical design of various industrial systems. Project responsibilities include drafting and design using CADD software, creating electrical drawings, and designing power distribution systems and controls for industrial facilities. You’ll collaborate with engineers and other designers, incorporating electrical information into drawings from other disciplines. Field visits to client sites, such as industrial processing facilities and power plants, may be required, with appropriate safety training provided.
