Electrical Designer / Drafter


Salary: $70,000–$100,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: In-person; must be local to Calabasas or surrounding areas

About the Position:
Seeking a motivated Electrical Designer/Drafter to support electrical system design from concept through construction. This role involves hands-on responsibility for a wide range of project types, including K–12 and higher education, mixed-use, commercial, residential, tenant improvements, and office buildings. The ideal candidate can work independently while collaborating with senior engineers and project teams.


Responsibilities:


  • Design lighting, power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems




  • Perform CAD/BIM/Revit drafting and electrical design tasks




  • Support project engineering activities under senior engineer direction




  • Participate in limited client communication as needed




  • Conduct job site investigations and travel as required (expenses reimbursed)


    • Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of electrical design and drafting experience




  • Proficiency in Revit 2025, AutoCAD 2025, BIM 360, SKM Power Tools, EnergyPro (Title 24), Bluebeam, and MS Office




  • Familiarity with applicable electrical codes




  • Strong written and verbal communication skills




  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
