We are on the hunt for an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Brisbane. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the electrical design of complex and high-profile building projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of electrical outcomes from concept through to delivery, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver smart, reliable and future-ready solutions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design and delivery of electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, communications and earthing
  • Developing compliant, efficient and constructible electrical solutions aligned with client, project and regulatory requirements
  • Managing small to large projects, or electrical scopes within larger multidisciplinary projects
  • Producing and coordinating electrical designs, documentation, specifications, calculations and schedules
  • Coordinating with mechanical, hydraulic, fire, architectural and structural disciplines to achieve integrated building services outcomes
  • Planning and managing electrical engineering resources to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Delivering electrical contract administration, site inspections and technical support during construction
  • Acting as the primary electrical engineering liaison with clients, contractors and stakeholders
  • Managing project financial performance related to electrical scope
  • Providing technical leadership, mentoring and quality review of electrical engineering outputs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years relevant professional experience in building services electrical engineering
  • Ability to travel interstate from time to time
  • MIEAust, RPEQ registered, Commitment to achieving CPEng status
  • White Card (CIC)
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence
  • Queensland project experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of power, lighting and electrical services in buildings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability and electrical compliance requirements
  • Broad understanding of other Building Services disciplines
