Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply technical specifications and classification society rules to all design work.
- Ensure designs meet electrical standards for oil & gas and have knowledge of Integrated Automation Systems (IAS).
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams, electrical load analysis, and power plant documentation.
- Develop schematics for navigation, communication, fire protection, and alarm monitoring systems.
- Create detailed cable schedules, termination drawings, and perform cable tray and breaker sizing.
- Prepare testing protocols and align design deliverables with the overall project building schedule.
- Liaise with vendors for power management, propulsion, and IAS to ensure seamless system integration.
- Ensure FMEA compliance for dynamic positioning and conduct harmonic distortion analysis.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Marine Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a shipyard or marine electrical role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong computer skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and liaise effectively with clients and vendors.
- Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, electrical standards for oil & gas, and integrated automation system.
