Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the HV design of various Substation, Solar and BESS infrastructure on a major Power & Transmission project, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and site teams to ensure practical, high-quality engineering outcomes. The role is engineering design -focused and is not suited to multidiscipline project managers or project engineers.

  • Design phase: Based in office (Perth CBD) for approximately 12 months to 3 years.
  • Solid pipeline of work - Tier 1 side mining client
  • Flexible work options , including some days working from home, are available depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preliminary and detail engineering of HV overhead distribution lines
  • Technical input specification and provision for equipment selection
  • Updating technical design standards
  • Provide technical support to construction teams regarding technical queries
  • Manage and implement design changes and optimisation

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical
  • Detailed design engineering experience with HV overhead powerlines
  • Strong technical report writing skills
