We have a role available for an Electrical Engineer to join our Defence division and support this contract. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in South Australia.     • About the roleYou will oversee and manage all electrical aspects of this contract covering multiple defence bases across South Australia.Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing delivery guidelines for the Electrical Operating Authority to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Overseeing all electrical aspects relating to aerodrome maintenance, including inspections, upgrades, and repairs.

  • Coordinating with other engineering teams to integrate electrical systems with broader infrastructure requirements.

  • Overseeing the operations and shutdown maintenance of the high voltage assets and infrastructure.

  • Ensuring all electrical systems are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards.

  • Performing systematic audits and evaluations of electrical systems and infrastructure across various locations, including remote sites.

  • Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) technical support and guidance to the maintenance and projects teams.

  • Preparing detailed reports on the status and condition of electrical systems for senior management review.

    • About youOur ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

  • Additional certifications in aerodrome electrical systems or Defence-related electrical systems are highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of managing electrical systems in a large, multi-site environment.

  • Experience in developing and implementing guidelines and standards for electrical systems.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Valid driver's licence.
