Key Responsibilities
Execution & Commissioning
- Supervise and execute electrical erection, testing, and commissioning activities at site
- Install and commission electrical substations, including transformers, HT/LT panels, and related systems
- Carry out transformer installation, oil filtration, testing, and energization activities
- Supervise erection and alignment of bus ducts and bus trunking systems
- Install, test, and commission lighting systems as per approved drawings and layouts
- Install and commission VFDs, including parameter setting, interlocking, and trial runs
- Erect, test, and commission MCC, PCC, and APFC panels
- Supervise cable laying, dressing, glanding, termination, and perform continuity and insulation resistance (IR) testing
- Oversee cable tray installation and routing as per approved layouts
- Install, test, and commission UPS systems and battery banks
Coordination & Project Support
- Execute work as per approved drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and project schedules
- Coordinate with design, project management, civil teams, vendors, and clients for smooth execution
- Support project planning by identifying site constraints and resolving technical issues
Testing, Documentation & Handover
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks, trial runs, and performance testing
- Prepare and maintain test reports, commissioning records, and as-built drawings
- Assist in system handover and final documentation submission to clients
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and statutory regulations
- Enforce safe working practices and site safety procedures
- Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to approved standards and methods
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical erection, testing, and commissioning practices
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical equipment, panels, and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics, and layouts
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and commissioning instruments
- Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to work independently at site and manage subcontractors
