Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for executing Electrical Systems engineering assignments on new construction projects at Seaspan Shipyards. Under the direction of the Manager, Electrical Systems, or their delegate, the Electrical Systems Engineer participates in all phases of new construction design projects including requirements decomposition, design preparations, supporting analysis, material selection and specification, engineering execution, and engineering close-out activities.

Duties/Accountabilities

• Provides engineering and design support in assigned areas of Electrical Power Systems by preparing design and calculation packages to ensure contract design requirements are met.
• Develops design documents such as Electrical Load Lists, Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Cable Diagrams, Instrumentation and Controls Lists, Interface control diagrams, termination and wiring diagrams.
