Position Purpose

The Position is responsible to plan, execute and perform Electrical maintenance activities and perform uninterrupted power generation safely while meeting all statutory & organizational requirements within time. Compliance of statutory requirement, Perform equal to business & organizational requirements

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Assisting Manager-Electrical with suggestion mainly on electrical installations, Power distribution, statutory compliances, practices on Electrical maintenance and power generation.

  • Assisting in contract electrician selections and utilization related to plant maintenance.

    • Operational Responsibilities

  • System management related to plant maintenance: Maintain ISO systems
    Ensure proper record keeping
    Keeping and timely analysis of data

  • Meeting Statutory and organizational requirements: Legal requirements related to electrical installations
    Customer requirements and guidelines

  • Equipment inspection and installation related to electrical system

  • Inventory control according to approved budget

  • Preparation of various reports and analysis

  • Suggestion and implementation of schemes in Electrical system to reduce downtime of equipment 

  • Perform analysis of data and implement action plan evaluated from cause analysis

  • Ensure timely completion of break down & shut down jobs

  • Timely completion of contractor bill entry and Maintenance work order

  • Raising PR, follow up with purchase department, daily monitoring of SAP notification & assign Order

  • Assistance in Identification of Non-Performing asset and formality to disposed that

  • Provide help to Project department for electrical equipment relocation, shifting, connection, Disconnection

  • Ensure safe practices in the function and people

    • Financial Responsibilities

  • Assistance in Preparation of Fuel, CAPEX and plant maintenance budgets

  • Implement the cost saving measures in the maintenance function

    • People Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth working of the department and maintain high Morale of the Workforce

  • Provide on Job guidance to sub-ordinates to enhance skills and knowledge

  • Monitor and review performance of sub-ordinates

    • Education Qualification


    B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering

    Work Experience


    3 – 7 years

    Industry to be Hired from


    Chemical processed based industry like Agrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals. Fine / specialty chemicals or can be from other process industry also.

    Functional Competencies


  • Sound knowledge in High Voltage Electrical Equipment operation & Maintenance
  • Ability to handle day to day maintenance and operation of power plant and electrical maintenance with the help of engineers / Technician /contractor person
