Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed and accurate project estimates
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials, equipment, and labor requirements
- Analyze project scope, schedule, and technical requirements to ensure competitive and accurate pricing
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain material and equipment pricing
- Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure smooth transition of awarded projects
- Maintain and update estimating databases, templates, and pricing standards
- Identify project risks, constructability issues, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives
- Attend pre-bid meetings and job site visits as required
- Stay current on industry trends, NEC code requirements, and market pricing
