Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Operation & Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems of the BTG, including generators,exciters, transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions to ensure equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
Generator & Excitation System Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of generators, excitation systems, and voltage regulators.
- Perform generator performance tests, insulation resistance tests, and other diagnostic checks.
- Ensure synchronization of generators with the grid and monitor load sharing.
Protection & Control Systems:
- Maintain and test protection relays (differential, overcurrent, earth fault, etc.) and control systems.
