We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in India.
Role Overview
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle—from technical support and design estimation to engineering, execution, commissioning, and final handover to the customer. Acting as a key interface between Sales, After-Sales, and technical teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, partners, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify fire detection and suppression systems , including integration with PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems
- Manage projects from Sales handover through commissioning and final customer handover
- Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and key deliverables
- Create 2D electrical and technical drawings and comprehensive documentation in line with project and company standards
- Prepare technical manuals and concise instructions for frequently asked questions
- Propose alternative technical solutions, evaluate scenarios, and perform cost estimations
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers; evaluate proposals and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
- Supervise on-site implementation and commissioning activities
- Coordinate technically with engineering partners and other Plant Supervision entities on larger projects
- Ensure designs consider functionality, mountability, accessibility, and maintainability , enabling smooth execution without revisions
- Provide technical training to internal colleagues and external customers when required
- Ensure all systems are constructed and commissioned in accordance with customer specifications, project standards, and safety regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Engineering, Computer Engineering , or a related technical field
- Fire Alarm Systems Installation & Maintenance certification is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of work experience with fire detection (suppression) systems, with a completed electrical education (bachelor or master degree) or equivalent (10yrs experience alternatively).
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components , systems, and diagnostic instruments
- Experience working with 2D design software
- Familiarity with local and international design standards
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure, with a strong customer focus
- Proactive attitude toward safety, accident prevention, and workplace cleanliness
- Valid driving license (car or motorbike)
