ELECTRICAL PROJECT EXECUTIVE (TRAVELING)
Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Project Executive (Traveling).
Electrical Project Executive (Traveling) Compensation & Benefits
Total compensation for the Electrical Project Executive (Traveling) is $200,000 - $300,000 based on experience and successful history of performance.
Electrical Project Executive (Traveling) Responsibilities
Lead overall strategy, execution, and financial performance for multiple regional/national projects from pursuit through closeout.
Drive business development: build key client relationships, solicit work, negotiate projects, and partner with senior leadership on market strategy.
Establish project execution plans (bidding, budgeting, precon, procurement), set goals and standards, and ensure quality, schedule, safety, and profitability.
Oversee budgets, forecasts, projections, billing, collections, and change management; ensure accurate, timely project documentation and invoicing.
Provide hands-on leadership to PM teams: staffing, coaching, performance feedback, and career development; set and maintain operating policies and processes.
Coordinate with clients, designers, specialty contractors, vendors, and field leaders; ensure plans/specs clearly define scope and milestones.
Prepare status reports; ensure adherence to contract, code, safety regulations, and company procedures; resolve issues quickly.
Create and manage annual budgets; apply LEAN/continuous improvement to optimize operations.
Model company mission, values, and DEI commitments in all internal and external interactions.
Electrical Project Executive (Traveling) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Project Management, Business, Construction Engineering/Management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
7–8+ years of progressive project management/leadership (all project sizes) with 5+ years of direct people leadership.
Prior field construction experience (electrical, technologies, fire, etc.); deep knowledge of construction means/methods, electrical systems, codes, safety.
Strong commercial acumen: negotiating, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, contracting, pricing, and financial analysis.
Proficiency with Accubid, and familiarity with Revit, CAD, SKM, AGI, Navisworks/BIM; strong MS Office skills.
Expertise in value analysis, conceptual estimating, and reviewing estimates for accuracy; prior installation exposure helpful.
Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict management, and stakeholder influence skills (including senior leadership).
Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop high-performing teams; lead through change; and implement LEAN/continuous-improvement processes.
