Electrical Protection and Controls Engineer

Overview

Join BBA and put your experience to work by actively contributing to various project phases as a Protection and Controls (P&C) Design Engineer. You will be involved in the design of protection and controls systems for high‑voltage/medium‑voltage (HV/MV) transmission systems, distribution systems and power plants across Canada. You will also be responsible for supporting site mandates to ensure work quality and system compliance before energization. You will play a key role in project management, client coordination, and delivering high‑quality projects with the BBA team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare protection and controls deliverables such as electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, protection logic, and control schemes
• Preparation of protection relay setting and configuration files (GE UR relays, SEL, ABB, Siemens IED devices, etc.)
