The Role

As Electrical Superintendent, you’ll take ownership of the electrical function across the underground mining operation, leading an experienced team of electricians and ensuring electrical services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a hands‑on leadership role where your technical expertise, people‑first mindset, and drive for continuous improvement will directly influence site performance and safety outcomes. You’ll work closely with operational and engineering teams, contribute to future infrastructure and project planning, and act as a key authority on electrical compliance and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visible, proactive safety leadership across all electrical activities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled electrical team
  • Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, and fault‑finding across underground and processing environments
  • Manage rosters and workloads to align with operational priorities
  • Act as the Site Authorised Electrical Nominee, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and legislation
  • Contribute to budgets, capital works, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive reliability, cost efficiency, and best‑practice electrical outcomes

About You

You’re a confident and collaborative leader with a strong electrical background in mining or heavy industry. You enjoy developing people, improving systems, and setting high standards — without losing sight of what matters most: safety and team culture.

You will bring:

  • Electrical trade qualification
  • Extensive experience as a Mine Electrician (underground and processing environments)
  • Proven experience leading teams in a supervisory or superintendent capacity
  • Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Solid project delivery experience from planning through to execution
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsA people-focused leadership style with a passion for mentoring
