Electrical Superintendent

We’re looking for a hands on Electrical Maintenance Superintendent to lead our electrical crew and keep our field equipment running safely and reliably. This role supports the maintenance of oil and gas rigs and associated equipment, within Ventia’s remote operations (across QLD and WA) and suits someone who knows the tools, knows the standards, and knows how to get the best out of a team.

About the Role

You’ll supervise our Field Electricians, help with breakdowns, support site projects, and make sure all electrical work meets Australian Standards. The job includes field work, training support, audits, and day to day maintenance leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support a team of electricians across town and field work
• Step in for breakdowns, project work and onsite support where required
• Carry out site audits and ensure all electrical tasks meet safety and compliance requirements
• Help train and develop the electrical crew
• Use SAP/MEX to manage jobs, inspections and maintenance records
• Provide technical advice on electrical systems, PLCs, motors and power generation
• Work with budgets, timelines and site teams to get work done safely and on time

What You Need

• Trade qualified Electrician
• QLD Electrical Licence
• Open Class Driver’s Licence
• Strong electrical safety knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards
• Proven leadership or supervision experience
• Capable with PLCs, control systems, motors and generators
• Good computer skills and time management
• Experience with SAP or MEX
• Willing to work 2:2 roster with on call requirements
• Comfortable with field based work

Good to have:

• WA Electrical Licence
• QTP / QBP
• Hazardous Areas cert and HA maintenance experience
• Electrical design or project experience
• Oil & gas, mining or industrial background
