About The Role

Genus is delivering power infrastructure improvement works for Rio Tinto across several towns in the Pilbara, including Tom Price, Wickham, Paraburdoo, and Dampier (approximately 4 months in each location). The project involves installing new low-voltage power feeds underground to around 58 new homes, including new consumer mains, backbone cabling, and green domes at property boundaries.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead a small team of electricians and ensure the successful delivery of the project to the highest safety and quality standards.

Roster and Duration

  • 2/1 roster, all in, all out
  • 12hr workdays
  • 12+ months project duration

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of 10 electricians, coordinating daily tasks and workflow
  • Ensure safe and efficient installation of power infrastructure including:
  • Final installation of conduits in collaboration with civil teams
  • Multi-core and single-core power cable installation
  • Earth rod installation
  • Installation of green domes including terminations
  • Consumer mains installation
  • Oversee testing, pre-energisation checks, and ensure compliance with electrical standards
  • Assist clients in transitioning from old installations to new installations
  • Manage on-site documentation and reporting requirements

Skills And Experience

  • Qualified Electrician with relevant Australian certification
  • Must hold S26 Statutory Supervisor Ticket
  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence or HR
  • White Card (OHS Construction Induction)
  • Current CPR, LVR, and First Aid certification
  • Proven experience supervising electrical teams on large-scale projects
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage infrastructure installation and testing
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to an all-in, all-out roster
  • Full working rights in Australia
