About The Role
Genus is delivering power infrastructure improvement works for Rio Tinto across several towns in the Pilbara, including Tom Price, Wickham, Paraburdoo, and Dampier (approximately 4 months in each location). The project involves installing new low-voltage power feeds underground to around 58 new homes, including new consumer mains, backbone cabling, and green domes at property boundaries.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead a small team of electricians and ensure the successful delivery of the project to the highest safety and quality standards.
Roster and Duration
- 2/1 roster, all in, all out
- 12hr workdays
- 12+ months project duration
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of 10 electricians, coordinating daily tasks and workflow
- Ensure safe and efficient installation of power infrastructure including:
- Final installation of conduits in collaboration with civil teams
- Multi-core and single-core power cable installation
- Earth rod installation
- Installation of green domes including terminations
- Consumer mains installation
- Oversee testing, pre-energisation checks, and ensure compliance with electrical standards
- Assist clients in transitioning from old installations to new installations
- Manage on-site documentation and reporting requirements
Skills And Experience
- Qualified Electrician with relevant Australian certification
- Must hold S26 Statutory Supervisor Ticket
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence or HR
- White Card (OHS Construction Induction)
- Current CPR, LVR, and First Aid certification
- Proven experience supervising electrical teams on large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage infrastructure installation and testing
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to an all-in, all-out roster
