Electrical Wire Harness Engineer

Position Description:
The Low Voltage (LV) EDS Design and Release (D&R) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of the wiring harnesses under her/his responsibility.

Primary Responsibility:
1. Design wiring harnesses complying with program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
2. Utilize best design efficiencies for manufacturing, assembly, and failure mode avoidance practices.
3. Drive commonality of designs across multiple programs and platforms.
4. Review pre-production vehicles for potential campaign items and assess warranty impact
5. Participate in vehicle builds and lead resolution of issues (AIMS)
6. Lead resolution of warranty (GSAR) issues with PVT team and Supplier
7. Participate with EDS VRT to develop solutions for high hurt internal/external issues
