Electrician - Maintenance

AWB Co. is one of WA's fastest growing all trades companies, operating throughout Perth and Adelaide. We are registered builders, licensed electrical, plumbing and gas fitting contractors. Based out of Burswood, we operate throughout the Perth metro area.

We require a Full Time electrician to join our electrical department to assist with various government, commercial & industrial maintenance contracts.

Reporting to the Electrical Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance service work inclusive of the following:

• General Preventative Maintenance Works: RCD's, Emergency Lighting, Emergency Push Button testing etc.
• Upgrading Existing Electrical installations in Commercial and Government Buildings
• Fault Finding
• Installation of General Power and Lighting Requirements.
• Measuring and ordering of materials in preparation of works

The good thing is, there is no need to come into the office every morning. We operate via a mobile field-based system; you can leave your house to arrive at your first job for the morning!

The successful candidate may be required to go on a call roster for after-hours call outs (retainer and allowances paid).

Requirements

• Current Electrical Trade Licence with a minimum of 3 years’ post-trade experience;
• Experience working on government maintenance contracts and/or within the commercial sector (highly regarded);
• Current Driver’s Licence;
• Valid Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one;
• Construction White Card;
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail;
• Own electrical trade tools (specialist tools will be supplied by AWB);
• Strong IT skills with clear verbal communication abilities;
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety;
• Experience using online/mobile job management systems such as SimPRO, Aroflow, or ServiceM8 (highly regarded);
• Additional relevant tickets or certifications considered an advantage;
• Positive, can-do attitude;
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
