Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician | Now Hiring | Alsip, IL

Days: 5am-5pmNights: 5pm-5am Compensation Includes:
Starting pay rate of $28-31/hourSign-on Bonus Program of $2,100 Responsibilities
Follow all PPE and GMP’s policies, wearing steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as requiredEnsure that all quality standards are maintained when performing job dutiesReview electrical malfunctions as they occur in order to determine the cause and solutionMonitor radio and respond to calls as neededReview electrical malfunctions as they occur in order to determine the root cause and solutionControl wiring knowledge (24vdc and 120vac)Strong understanding of VFD’sAbility to read ladder logic and troubleshoot PLC’sKnowledge of wiring step-up and step-down transformersHandle all electrical wiring, repair, modifications, and upgrades as needed in the plantMonitor plant equipment and facilities in order to discover and prevent potential problemsHandle emergency repairs as quickly as possible in order to minimize downtimeRepair air valves as neededRepair and monitor all broken machine partsRepair and rebuild drive motors as neededRemain familiar with all electrical equipment used in the plantKeep accurate records on work completedMeet/achieve production goals set forth by management Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role in a manufacturing environment
Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs
Eligible to work in the United States
Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
Work overtime as required
Ability performs the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls
Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures required
Experience operating forklift equipment
Ability to successfully multitask in a fast pace environment

Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management
