Location: Phoenix, AZ
Shift: 1st
Pay: $25 /hr DOE
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Electron Beam Welding machines to weld various metal parts, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other alloys.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions to determine welding requirements.
  • Select proper fixtures, tooling, and parameters for each welding job.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of EB welding machines.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve welding issues and optimize processes.
  • Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience operating Electron Beam welding equipment or other precision welding methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Familiarity with vacuum chamber operations and high-voltage equipment.
  • Preferred:

  • Experience in aerospace or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Certification in welding (e.g., AWS or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of metallurgical properties and welding behavior of exotic metals.
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in enclosed spaces such as vacuum chambers.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
