Founded in 1971, Dolat Capital is a diversified multi-strategy trading firm, using computer algorithms to trade in financial markets.

We make markets in equity and index derivatives using our proprietary derivatives valuation methodology. At Dolat, we seek to continuously improve our approach to pricing, execution algorithms and risk management. We have an appetite to diversify and improve and are always looking for great new talent to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to our automated options trading team.

We are looking for an experienced electronic automated options trader to join the team and improve us further. As part of Dolat’s Options Market Making Desk, you will be managing risk across multiple sector groups that results from automated electronic market-making. You will have the opportunity to work with other traders and engineers to improve our risk management logic and processes. We offer a dynamic, fast-paced, meritocratic environment with a flat hierarchy.

The ideal candidate will have strong options pricing and volatility skew trading knowledge, preferably as an automated options market maker. You will be a natural problem solver with exceptional analytical and quantitative skills. You’re a strong performer with a passion for trading and eagerness to learn and continually improve.

Responsibilities

  • Manage risk and execution across multiple products.
  • Manage and automate various volatility and skew parameters that affect option pricing.
  • Conduct product-specific research in order to identify peculiar risks.
  • Identify skew and volatility levels within specific names.
  • Making statistically-based decisions across a large universe of symbols
  • Working with our technology team for tool building
  • Analyzing post-trades doing PnL analysis and portfolio reviews using various analysis tools and logs
  • Collaborate with researchers, analysts, desk engineers and traders to identify and implement new trading strategies, and improve current strategies.

    • Role requirements:

  • 2 – 5+ years of managing risk on an electronic market-making desk.
  • 2 – 5+ years of experience working as an Automated Options Volatility Trader / Market Maker
  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Familiarity with a scripting language (Python).
  • Ability to perform trade analysis and identify solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Track record of strong performance
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of automated options market making space and a broad understanding of how markets function
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • A passion for trading
