The Institut de Física d Altes Energies (IFAE) is a public consortium of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). IFAE carries out research in high energy physics, astroparticle physics and cosmology, and develops instrumentation for projects including detector technology, pixel detectors, telescope cameras, and medical imaging detectors. The Engineering department designs and develops mechanics, electronics and software for project instrumentation.
