Job Description

Overview

The Electronic Technician II shall be responsible for installing, testing and troubleshooting security system sub-level devices (. patch panels, junction boxes) on large or complex jobs and head end equipment on small or less complex jobs. This technician works under general supervision and requires technical guidance, as required. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform field verification testing.
  • Read and adhere to blueprints and installation design plans for the installation of sub-level devices (. patch panels, junction boxes) on large or complex jobs and head end equipment on small or less complex jobs.
  • Prepare and install cable pathways & spaces.
  • Identify appropriate cables from drawings and running cables/fiber per installation design plans.
  • Test continuity of conductor(s) or breaks in fiber.
  • Terminate basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/bloc...
