Key Responsibilities



  • Design, fabricate, install, maintain, and repair complex electronic and scientific instrumentation used in teaching and research laboratories

  • Service and maintain advanced analytical equipment such as NMR, GC, GC-MS, FTIR, UV-VIS spectrometers, X-ray diffractometers, centrifuges, and related systems

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training on the safe use of specialized equipment

  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades

  • Maintain safety records and ensure compliance with university safety and chemical safety requirements

  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and test equipment; work with vendors on quotes and procurement

  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support instructional and research needs across the College of Science
