Job Description Job Description The Manufacturing AI Installation Technician is responsible for building, installing, and maintaining Petra AI devices & systems across the plant. This role blends hands-on fabrication with on-line installation work across all shops at Normal, or new Normal building, ensuring cameras, brackets, enclosures, and support structures are safely and robustly installed for 24/7 industrial use. Responsibilities Fabrication & Assembly Fabricate and assemble brackets, frames, and supports using aluminum extrusion (e.g., 80/20), steel, and plastics. Cut, drill, tap, and finish components using band saws, drill presses, hand drills, grinders, and other standard shop tools. Read basic mechanical drawings / sketches and build to spec with minimal rework. Station Installation (Body / Paint / GA) Install Petra AI devices, camera mounts, and enclosures in Body Shop, Paint Shop, and General Assembly to defined standards (height, angle, clearances, datum references).
