Job Description
Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the R&D strategy aligned with business goals and industry trends power electronics product lines for Electric VehiclesLead innovation initiatives to develop new products, improve existing product lines, and enhance manufacturing processes
Technical Expertise & Innovation:
Oversee design, development, and testing of power electronic circuits, converters, inverters, control algorithms, and integrated systems for EV applications.
Project Management:
Manage R&D project portfolios including budgeting, resource allocation, timelines, and risk managementEnsure timely delivery of prototypes, validation, and product transfer to manufacturing.
Team Leadership & Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary R&D team including Electronics/Electrical engineers, Embedded Software/Hardware developers, and test engineers.Foster a culture of creativity, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product feasibility, manufacturability, and quality standards.Engage with external partners, academia, and technology vendors to leverage new knowledge and partnerships.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all R&D activities comply with automotive industry standards and regulatory requirementsOversee documentation of technical specifications, test reports, and patentsThe Successful Applicant
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field; PhD preferred15+ years of progressive experience in R&D within the automotive power electronics domain, specifically in EV chargers and/or motor drivesProven track record in leading R&D teams and delivering innovative products to marketStrong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, embedded systems, control algorithms, and hardware designFamiliarity with automotive standards and certifications related to EV componentsExcellent project management, communication, and leadership skills
