Job Description
Machine Operation and Maintenance:
Operates and performs routine maintenance on electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and machinery involved in the production of colored roofing.
Diagnostic and Troubleshooting:
Tests malfunctioning equipment using diagnostic tools to identify issues.
Repair and Replacement:
Repairs or replaces defective electronic components and wiring in machinery.
Calibration and Setup:
Calibrates, configures, and installs electronic devices and systems to maintain optimal performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Keeps detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and system updates, and may report on equipment performance and project progress.
Collaboration:
Works with engineers and other professionals to identify and resolve equipment deficiencies or to implement new technologies.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to operate and maintain various manufacturing machines and equipment.
Electronics Knowledge:
A strong foundation in electronic principles to understand how machinery operates.
Diagnostic Skills:
Experience using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Manual Dexterity:
Hands-on ability to assemble, install, and repair electronic systems, often involving soldering and using hand tools.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and fault isolation skills to find efficient solutions to technical problems.
Technical Documentation:
Ability to read and interpret complex manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Education:
A vocational, college, or NCII certification in electronics or a related field is often required.
