Embedded software engineer

Embedded Software Engineer role at GMV in Tres Cantos, Community of Madrid, Spain. The position focuses on real-time software development for onboard navigation systems within the defence domain, contributing to the SIRTAP tactical UAS program.

As part of the team, you will participate in the development of real-time software for onboard navigation systems of the SIRTAP tactical UAS, contributing to a strategic project within the defence domain.

• Design and implementation of real-time navigation software for embedded platforms.
• Development and maintenance of test and validation software, ensuring system quality and reliability.
• Execution of tests and continuous integration in development and test environments.
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in systems, navigation, and software.
• Participation in continuous software improvement and the application of best development practices.

• Graduates or degree holders in Computer, Telecommunications, Industrial, or Aeronautical Engineering, with education and interest in real-time software development and onboard navigation systems.
• Knowledge or experience in C/C++ and Python programming; experience in software integration, testing, and validation are valued.
• Specialization in software development with a track record in complex technological projects within the defence domain (e.g., SIRTAP program).
• Knowledge of software architecture, system design, Git version control, and continuous integration methodologies are valued.
