Overview

The South Okanagan General Hospital (SOGH) is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the Okanagan health service area that serves approximately 12,000 residents from the Oliver, Osoyoos and Okanagan Falls area and another 10,000 residents in surrounding rural areas. SOGH offers a 24/7 Emergency Department, 18 inpatient beds, on-site outpatient ambulatory, acute care, Allied Health Services, pharmacy, X-Ray and laboratory services. Most urgent referrals are made to Penticton Regional Hospital. The SOGH Emergency Department has overlapping shift coverage during the busiest times of day, adjusted depending on the season. Shift times are , , and in the winter, and daytime shifts are one hour longer in the busy months. The collegial Emergency team in Oliver has two positions available.
