Job Description
The Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting for full-time academic positions at the Instructor or Assistant level in the Physician-Educator Track.
Candidates must be graduates of a nationally or internationally accredited recognized Emergency Medicine (EM) training programs, preferably ABEM certified/eligible or equivalent.
Applicants must have at least 1 year of formal roles/administrative experience, either as part of the ED leadership operations or quality team.
As physician educators, candidates must also demonstrate engagement as educators in EM, either as core teaching faculty or through formal roles witihin educational programs related to EM (student clerkships or residency porgrams). Evidence of scholarly activity in EM is also key requirement for consideration for the Physician-Educator track. Fluency in English is a requirement; basic knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
The facility is located in the heart of Beirut with an annual ED volume of 53,000 visits. The Department also has an ACGME-I accredited Emergency Medicine training program.
