Job Description
Assists in the implementation of nursing care and services for the patients undergoing endoscopic procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. Plans and implements basic endoscopy case management of instruments, supplies and equipment by following age-specific and procedure-specific care guidelines. Assumes responsibility for on call coverage. Performs duties in a professional manner consistent with hospital policies and procedures, accepted standards, and current state and federal regulations. Utilizes initiative and strives to maintain a steady level of productivity. Communication on behalf of the patient reflects the mission, ethics, and goals of the hospital.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Graduate of a surgical technician program, nurse aid program, or medical assistant program.
3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
