Job Description
Controlling Energy Marshal is responsible for managing and ensuring that energy sources (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) are safely isolated and controlled before any maintenance or servicing activities take place. This is done to prevent accidental energization of equipment or machinery, which could endanger workers. Their role is typically centered around enforcing energy isolation procedures, especially as part of a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program. Oversees and assures the Authorizing Energy Marshal and any supplemental vendor support complies with the overall Energy Isolation Program Management on a datacenter construction campus. The Operations appointed Controlling Energy Marshal can act in an Authorizing Energy Marshal role and is accountable for the implementation of all forms of Energy Isolation.
