As an Engagement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our search mandates. You will become an expert in mapping markets, identifying key leadership talent, and engaging directly with senior executives. Working closely with our Search Consultants and Partners, you will own the research, sourcing, and candidate assessment process to deliver world‑class results for our clients.

Executive Research & Market Intelligence

  • Become the team's specialist in sourcing and identifying C‑suite talent across the Japan market.
  • Conduct in‑depth market mapping.
  • Execute full end‑to‑end search processes to produce high‑quality longlists.



    • Candidate Engagement & Evaluation

  • Speak directly with senior‑level candidates to gauge suitability, interest, and potential fit.
  • Analyse CVs for competency and alignment with client needs.
  • Conduct interviews and maintain a robust, high‑calibre talent pipeline.
  • Perform reference checks and candidate validations.



    • Collaboration, Delivery & Presentation

  • Work with offshore research teams to produce polished candidate briefs.
  • Assist in preparing compelling candidate presentations for clients.
  • Present top candidates to Search Consultants / Partners and contribute to search strategy.
  • Join client briefings and pitches alongside Search Consultants / Partners.
  • Prepare WIP reports and executive summaries that communicate insights clearly.



    • Build Expertise Across Practice Areas

  • Develop specialist knowledge across multiple industry sectors.
  • Independently run searches up to longlist stage with increasing autonomy.
