The Profile

The IT Technician performs a variety of duties to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance and seamless use of IT infrastructure.

Job Description

Track, prioritize and document requests, completing logs and routine reports as required
Responsible for general maintenance of computers and computer equipment in the company and for resolving identified technical problems
Provide technical support for hardware and software issues in the company. Provide user support via telephone, email and face-to-face contact
Troubleshoot and diagnose computer equipment failures; repair as required and recover any lost or accidentally deleted data
Install and test new software, making software available to appropriate users. Ensure the anti-virus software is installed, properly configured, regularly updated and working properly on all PC and server stations
Receive and set up hardware. Install or delete software, as required
Carry out routine network maintenance tasks
