Job Description
**Amentum** is looking for an **Engineer - Second Operator (Chiller Operator)** to join our team in **McLean, VA!** You will operate and maintain HVAC related equipment on scheduled rotating shifts for air conditioning and/or refrigeration. **Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/ SCI US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.**
**Work Hours:** Rotating Shifts
**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Operate and maintain assigned chillers and HVAC equipment.
+ Work with the tools of the operating engineer's trade.
+ Make periodic tours of assigned equipment and systems within the Central Plant recording required data.
+ Monitor water treatment program for cooling equipment. Report all faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences to supervisor.
+ Respond to emergency situations on assigned equipment, performing any and all tasks necessary for the protection of property and pers...
