Job Description

This role is responsible for operating, supporting, and improving the reliability, availability, and performance of the ServiceNow platform supporting mission-critical operations across T-Mobile. The position focuses on platform stability, incident response, monitoring, and operational automation, while providing Tier 2 support within a DevOps-aligned support model.

The engineer partners with ServiceNow development teams, platform engineering, and business stakeholders to resolve platform issues, reduce operational risk, and improve customer experience. This role applies independent judgment to investigate complex platform problems, recommend operational improvements, and ensure consistent, reliable ServiceNow service delivery.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Automate processes to improve system reliability and reduce manual operational tasks
  • Monitor systems proactively to minimize operational incidents and maintain service continuity
  • Streamline software development and deployment processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Develop scripts and tools to decrease manual efforts in routine operational activities
  • Manage incident response to ensure rapid recovery and minimize service disruption
  • Adapt to new technologies to sustain and improve system robustness and performance
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
    OR
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering, Master's/Advanced Degree Computer Science or Data Science (Preferred)

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years Working in operations or devops environments
  • 2-4 years Troubleshooting customer related issues and managing customer relationships
  • 2-4 years Developing software solutions using ServiceNow or other SaaS solutions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve system reliability issues.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow platform administration and following functions: (Required)

  • Workflow Studio
  • Orchestration
  • Scripting
  • Ability to evaluate performance and identify opportunities to tune or refine processes to improve system availability (Required)
  • Ability to automate processes and reduce manual effort. (Required)
  • Understanding of incident response management and operational support. (Required)
  • Skilled in managing and responding to system incidents to minimize downtime and impact. (Required)
    Experience in managing technology stacks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies to improve and streamline processes.
  • Ability to analyze system performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Capability to drive innovation in system management and operations through new technologies and approaches.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changes in the digital landscape to maintain system robustness

Licences / Certifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator - This certification validates technical expertise in operating and managing the ServiceNow Platform (Required)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer This certification validates the skills required for application development on the ServiceNow Platform (Preferred)
