The NPI (New Product Introduction) Manager is responsible for coordinating the introduction of new products and processes into the manufacturing plant. This role ensures, in collaboration with all engineering functions, that all necessary documentation, processes, tooling, facilities, and infrastructure are prepared and ready for mass production. The engineer works closely with cross‑functional teams—including quality, design, maintenance, testing, manufacturing, and planning—to meet product launch deadlines. Additionally, the NPI Engineer acts as the primary liaison between the manufacturing site and global teams to facilitate information exchange and effective follow‑up on NPI activities. The role also includes setting and monitoring project schedules, tracking key deliverables, and documenting incidents to guarantee their proper resolution.

  • Between 5 and 10 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in related industries.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an NPI or Project Manager role.
  • Proven leadership and management of cross‑functional teams.

The responsibilities of the Senior Engineering Manager will encompass comprehensive project execution at existing customer sites, including promoting safety, achieving KPIs for quality, delivery, and cost, and managing project risks. You will also be accountable for financial oversight, managing team budgets, forecasting, and optimizing resource allocation. A core aspect of this role is people leadership: leading by example, mentoring managers, fostering talent development through coaching and training, and maintaining strong team communication. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives with a goal of enhancing productivity and quality.

What You Will Do In This Role:

Project Execution

  • Promote safety culture across organization with a focus on zero incidents and 100% compliance.
  • Lead efforts to expand team project execution expertise towards a life‑cycle engineering perspective; including, but not limited to audits, design, drawings, order entry, configuration, visualization, commissioning, and testing.
  • Ensure accuracy and achievement of performance KPI's for quality, on‑time delivery, and cost. Proactively clear roadblocks to KPI target attainment for project teams.
  • Manage project execution risk through validation of effective project staffing strategies, technical reviews, and comprehensive adherence to standard work and quality processes.
  • Participate in cross‑functional technical reviews to ensure alignment of technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Participates in design and costing reviews with sales and solution development for a project quotation.
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and report on status of team.
  • Work cross‑functionally with other disciplines and build multi‑functional partnerships with regional managers to maintain consistency and standards.
  • Continuously represent the organization as a key customer‑facing external contact and partner.
  • Works with manager direct reports to review project budgets and actual costs, identifying areas for improvement and developing mitigation plans where appropriate.
  • Ownership of program financial budgets using actual and forecasted cost data.
  • Provide regular reporting of project/program performance and status to management and peers.
  • Take necessary actions to ensure staffing levels and talent support current and forecasted workload.
  • Drive capacity planning through continual pipeline and team bandwidth assessments

  • Mentor engineering managers through steady collaboration that involves one‑on‑one conversations, practical coaching and learning opportunities.

  • Support talent development through active and consistent engagement including 1‑1 meetings, real‑time learning/coaching opportunities, and training programs.
  • Effectively identifying the right candidates, helping in their onboard, and integrating the new hires into the team.

  • Role is based in Guadalupe, Mexico (on‑site position)
  • Engineering Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls). Advanced degree a plus.
  • Proven problem solver, with ability to facilitate groups to solve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively in a team‑based organization and with employees of all levels and backgrounds across all functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English is required, as well as presentation skills.

Sr. Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager

The Sr. Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across the manufacturing site by leading high‑impact industrial engineering initiatives. This role oversees a team of engineers and partners closely with Operations leadership to optimize processes, improve productivity, reduce costs, and deploy advanced technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, hands‑on problem‑solving capability, and a proven ability to lead transformation in a high‑growth manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, communicate, and execute the Industrial Engineering strategy aligned to site and global business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of industrial engineers across multiple shifts or sites.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence.
  • Influence cross‑functional leaders and drive alignment for engineering initiatives and improvement programs.

Process Optimization

  • Analyze workflows, material flow, and production lines to identify improvement opportunities and remove waste.
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and ergonomic assessments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Define and implement standardized work, manufacturing best practices, and performance metrics.
  • Lead Kaizen events and structured problem‑solving sessions (A3, DMAIC, 5 Why, etc.).

Technology & Innovation

  • Evaluate, introduce, and deploy automation solutions, advanced manufacturing technologies, and Industry 4.0 tools.
  • Utilize data analytics, dashboards, and simulation models to predict bottlenecks and optimize plant performance.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new technologies.

Cost, Productivity & Capital Projects

  • Deliver measurable improvements in labor productivity, throughput, cycle time, and operational cost reduction.
  • Lead layout redesigns, capacity planning, and process flow optimization for current and future state operations.
  • Support capital investment projects including ROI analysis, layout creation, and equipment specification.
  • Drive cost‑saving initiatives through waste elimination, efficiency improvements, and automation.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Provide industrial engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI), new equipment installation, and plant expansions.
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership, escalating risks and proposing solutions with strong data‑driven rationale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering roles within a manufacturing environment (high‑mix/complex operations preferred).
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams, ideally across multiple sites or a large‑scale operation.
  • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success driving large‑scale productivity and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and program management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual required).
